Hans F. Sennholz

I first met Hans Sennholz in Argentina. It was 1976 or 1977 (I told part of the story on http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig4/chafuen1.html). For our classes in Monetary Economics at our beloved Grove City College, he gave us “The Theory of Money and Credit” by Mises. During my first years at the college (1978-1979) inflation was a major concern, and Dr. Sennholz a master at focusing on the negative economic impact. Although he seldom got into politics, and even less ethics, every now and then he also mentioned the corrupting influence of the manipulation of money and credit on politics and morals. For some years, after Greenspan assumed, he forecasted that the collapse of paper money was taking a breather.   He was seeing the gathering storm when God called him to a better place.  His students, both here and abroad, never forgot his lessons.  It is now time to continue educating the public and push for a monetary system more consistent with the principles of the free society.
