“By offering bigger seats and more legroom, airlines are essentially asking if weโre ready to cover the cost of providing the additional comfort. When we choose cheaper, less comfortable economy class seats, weโre saying ‘No, thank you.’โ ~ Art Carden

“These are hardly the stories of hardened enemies of society. Their ‘crimes’ are like those of the American Robber Barons: They found new ways to give people goods and services they wanted at prices they were willing to pay.” ~ Art Carden

“Money and the Rule of Law questions a lot of things we usually take for granted in the discussion of monetary policy, and makes the case for generality, predictability, and robustness created by strict monetary rules.” ~ Art Carden

“With The European Guilds, Ogilvie has written the definitive treatment of the subject. It is a book that every economist and historian should know about, and I expect it to be the standard work on the topic for many years to come.” ~ Art Carden
โข
“Making prices less accurate and less reliable with well-intentioned but misguided controls compounds the problem. It leads to an even bigger pile of errors–a misuse of knowledge in society, in other words.” ~ Art Carden
โข
“Reinventing Liberalism is alternately fascinating and frustrating. At the end of the day, however, Innset has given us a serviceable introduction to neoliberalism and a novel interpretation of its program, and those by themselves make the book worth considering.” ~ Art Carden
