Senior Fellow
Arthur M. Diamond, Jr., is Senior Fellow with the American Institute for Economic Research. He earned graduate degrees in philosophy and in economics from the University of Chicago, where he also was awarded a Post-Doctoral Fellowship with economics Nobel Prize laureate Gary Becker. He has been on the faculty of the Department of Economics of The Ohio State University and is Professor Emeritus of Economics at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Diamond is the author of Openness to Creative Destruction:ย Sustaining Innovative Dynamism from the Oxford University Press.

Of course much is uncertain. The outcomes of racing in NASCAR, climbing Mount Everest, and launching into space are uncertain. Yet we allow adults to choose to race, climb, and launch. So, how can we forbid a patient with Covid-19 from taking experimental drugs?

One of Couneyโs early stations was at the 1901 Buffalo Worldโs Fair. Also on display was an early X-ray machine whose inventor would soon win the first physics Nobel Prize.
